2. The Language school and teachers

This young school was founded in 2017 and is run by a motivated team. It aims to offer a course programme away from the big language schools, with small groups and personal contact with the participants.

The Danish teachers of the school have many years of experience, so they are familiar with all the challenges of learning Danish. They will support you in your efforts to improve your language skills. During the course, you will receive ongoing feedback from your teacher and tips on how to overcome the specific challenges of Danish.

3. Location

The school is located on the outskirts of central Copenhagen in Gothersgade, close to the Botanical Garden and Rosenborgs Slott. The school is easily accessible on foot, by bike and by public transport. The nearest metro station (Nørreport) is a 6-minute walk away.

4. Lessons

There is plenty of time to learn in the classroom: all aspects of the language are practised, with a focus on pronunciation and spoken Danish. You will have the opportunity to do a lot of speaking and listening yourself. Your teacher will support you and help you to quickly increase your vocabulary, improve your understanding and actively speak Danish.

A wide range of materials and teaching methods are used in class, including project work, partner and group work, your own small presentations, excursions, music, films and videos.

Lessons are taught in Danish (even in the beginners’ courses this is not a problem). English is used as an auxiliary language, e.g. to explain grammar.

The following teaching material is used in the courses and can be easily ordered from the Danish bookshop in Flensburg:

A1: Fanny Slotorub/Neel Jersild Moreira: Puls 1
A2: Fanny Slotorub/Neel Jersild Moreira: Puls 2
A2+: Fanny Slotorub/Neel Jersild Moreira: Puls 3
B1: Birte Langgaard: Pæredansk (published by KLETT)
Fanny Slotorub: At skrive
B2: Birte Langgaard: Højt til loftet (published by KLETT)
Bliv klar til prøve i dansk 3

At the end of your course you will receive a certificate of attendance indicating the level you have reached according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages.

... and this is what our participants say

Stine is an amazing teacher – I love for example that she always uses new topics from everyday life for teaching – topics could range from danish elections over specific holidays to popular TV.

M. B., 2022

Stine has overcome all my expectations for Danish lessons. Her classes are teaching relevant topics in a nice and fun way, enabling us to quickly learn the esssentials of the danish language and culture.

I. K. B., 2022

I can highly recommend taking danish lessons here..I have had danish lessons before but had a break and wanted to get back into it. Iespecially wanted to improve my conversation skills and general level, so I signed up for a semi private class. The speed and level to learn danish here is so flexible and really tailored to my needs. Katrine is an amazing teacher, she comes very well prepared and while I always
feel like I learn a lot, it never feels stressful or exhausting. It’s a lot of fun, since we talk about everyday topics but also have grammar exercises – a really good mix!
In the private setting you can ask any question that comes to mind!
I just booked another 10 hour package
