The Swedish courses have been running for several years with steadily increasing demand and great success.
The teachers are native speakers, often trained language teachers, who teach with commitment and joy.
The Swedish lessons take place in the morning and in the evening. This gives the opportunity to use the remaining time individually (with cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, excursions, hikes, etc). This time is arranged by the participants themselves.
The combination of nature experience and language learning is what we try to combine in this offer. Anyone who has ever been to the Swedish mountains (“i fjällen”) in winter can confirm that this is a very special experience.
Åre is located in the Swedish mountains and offers excellent opportunities for downhill skiing, but also good conditions for cross-country skiing with lighted trails. The snow is guaranteed by the use of snow cannons.
In the immediate vicinity of the teaching site Åre Björnen there is a well-developed cross-country skiing area with different routes and requirement profiles, suitable for both classic cross-country skiing and skating. All downhill slopes can be reached by lift from Åre Björnen. More information about the area and Åre itself can be found at Åre-Turistbyrå.
- Levels: beginners and advanced (A1.1 and A1.2)
- 4 lessons (45 min. each) of Swedish daily = 15 lessons
- Language course from Monday to Friday
- Daily schedule:
Morning: 2 Swedish lessons (approximately 8:30 – 10:00).
Morning and afternoon: time for skiing etc.
From 17:00: dinner together (optional)
In the evening: 2 lessons of Swedish (from around 18:00) - Here you can find the terms and conditions of the school, also regarding Corona.
- It is rented a house or apartment with 3-4 bedrooms in the ski resort Åre Björnen, usually with balcony and sauna.
- Accommodation in double or single rooms
- Self-catering
- Cost: 1.900 SEK = approx. 185 € per week in double room
